It is with immense pleasure to inform you that the Imphal Obstetric & Gynaecological Society (IOGS) is going to host the "FOGSI East Zonal Conference with YUVA, 2023" at Imphal Manipur from 22nd to 24th December, 2023.

With the increasing life expectancy worldwide, non-communicable diseases (NCD) have become the major cause for morbidity and mortality globally and among NCDs, cardiovascular diseases rank as number one killer. The nation is also facing double disease burden at the moment. The changing socio-economic trends in the society such as improved nutrition, better literacy, urbanisation, late marriages, altered behavioural & dietary habits have led directly or indirectly to more cardiovascular related obstetric and gynaecological complications. The 29th September of every year is observed as "World Heart Day" all over the world. Hence, this conference is being organised with the theme "A Healthy Heart for a Healthy Life & a Healthy Woman".

With your blessings, the dedicated organizing committee is making tremendous effort to make the conference a grand success. There will be mind-boggling and brain-storming scientific sessions on various obstetric and gynecological aspects with deliberations by eminent speakers and stalwarts from all over the country during the three-day scientific bonanza. We will also have oral paper/poster presentations and Quiz competitions for the Junior doctors who will be the torch bearers of the Nation. We also plan to conduct workshops on "Gynae-Endoscopy, Preventive Gynae-Oncology & PICSEP".
